The convent is remarkable for its Renaissance architecture, with a simple façade with a single bell tower and a Latin cross floor plan with three naves.

The Convent of La Merced in Cusco, Peru, is an important historical and architectural site, renowned for its stunning Baroque style and rich collection of religious artefacts. Originally founded by the Mercedarian Order in 1535, the convent has undergone several renovations, most notably after the devastating earthquake of 1650, which led to extensive reconstruction work completed in 1671.

The Monastery of Santa Catalina in Cusco, Peru, is an important religious site with a rich history. Founded in 1605, it was built on the foundations of an Inca acllahuasi, a house for selected women dedicated to the worship of the sun. The convent has Baroque architecture, with high vaulted ceilings and intricate altars, and contains works by important colonial artists such as Juan Espinoza de los Monteros.
